About the Festival

MAPS International Wll, Doha Qatar a Qatari Company registered under the law of the State of Qatar is the Organiser for the QIAF.

QIAF is been organized by a Team of experienced professionally qualified management people headed by Rashmi Agarwal, an internationally renowned artist, entrepreneur and President of MAPS International Wll.

Yes, the festival was earlier organised in 2018 and 2019. This year 2021 will be the 3rd edition for the festival.

The festival will be organised from 24th October to 28th October 2021. For Artist participating in Qatar the Arrival date in Qatar is 23rd October and departure date is 29th October 2021.

QIAF 2021 is planned to be held at Katara Cultural Village. Katara Cultural village is the most visited after tourist destination and a must for all the visitors to Qatar. For more information about Katara please visit www.katara.net

APPLY AND REGISTER FOR THE FESTIVAL

You can register for the festival through the link https://qiaf.net/apply

Yes, you can register as a group. However, each participant needs to fill in the registration form. If you are in a group of 10+ artists, please contact the organisers at qiaf.maps@gmail.com for the additional privileges and support.

Yes. We encourage you to travel with your family and enjoy the exotic tourist locations of Qatar. Let this trip be your fun filled family trip. Children below the age of 6 years are free if they are using the same bed with their parents. The family of the participants travelling together will be entitled to all services like the participants except for exhibition space and awards. Please write to the organisers at qiaf.maps@gmail.com to receive the family cost package.

Yes. Please apply to participate using the link www.qiaf.net/apply and select this option “Participate in exhibition only – No personal Presence”.

Your application will be screened, reviewed and you will be provided with the Qatar National Bank account details for payment of the participation fee along with the email of confirmation. After the payment of your participation fee your registration is confirmed.

The Last date for making the application of 31st August 2021.

We encourage the participants to make the payment at their earliest once their application is been approved via confirmation email. We will provide sufficient time for the participants considering their convenience to make the payment.

All participation fees needs to be paid to our bank account in the name of MAPS International Wll at the Qatar National Bank Account. The bank account details will be sent to each individual via email along with the certificate of confirmation. For any inconvenience regarding the transfer of money to the bank account, please write email us for alternative mode of payment.

We do not encourage instalment payment or on arrival payment. However we do not want to deprive the genuine or deserving participants from participating in the festival for financial constraints. Hence if you think you deserve or really need to make the instalment payments, please send your request to the organisers at qiaf.maps@gmail.com and we will review the same. However the decision is solely at the discretion of the organisers and will be reviewed on merit by merit basis.

If the participant is not able to travel due to a valid medical Covid-19 related reasons or due to any national Travel related restrictions, we have a 100% refund policy of the participation money received less bank charges.

 

AFTER PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE

All the participants are required to submit their details using the form www.qiaf.net/artist-profile

This information will be used for printing festival magazine printing and Social Media Advertisement.

The art work to be displayed needs to be pre-approved by the organizers. It should not be inspired nor depict any political, religious or obscene picture. It should in any way not hinder the cultural ethics of the Qatar and region.

We will have the carpenters available for mounting the paintings on the wall. We will provide the contact details of the framing shop to get the paintings framed on priority basis. However, it is the responsibility of the artist to hand over the ready for display painting to the organisers. We will provide the logistics support to the outstation participants.

Six number of master classes for 25 minutes each will be organised during the festival days. The master artist will be from the participants only. The decision to allot the master class will be made by the QIAF Art Curators based on the Theme, uniqueness, Experience, Technical knowhow and Knowledge enhancement to the participants. The participants willing to give master classes are requested to apply using the link www.qiaf.net/master-class

The Participant giving the master classes will be honored during the award ceremony and be presented by an additional certificate. All registered participants are entitled to participate as an audience for the master classes.

The Last Date to apply for conducting master classes is 31st August 2021.

Artistic Fashion Show is the fashion related event of the QIAF Festival. The participants registered for the QIAF 2021 Festival can only apply to participate in the Artistic Fashion Show.

The decision to accept the application will be made by the QIAF Art Curators based on the Theme, uniqueness, Experience, creativity, and appearance to the participants. Thank you for your understanding.

There is NO additional Cost of participating in the Fashion Show.
Yes you can be a fashion designer, a product designer, or any creative idea to showcase your talent in the Artistic fashion Show. Here the participants can showcase their creativity and artworks on various other products like Apparels, curtains, tables, or any other daily life products.

The participants of QIAF 2021 can apply to participate in the Artistic fashion show using the link www.qiaf.net/fashion-show

There is no additional cost for the QIAF 2021 registered participants to participate in the Artistic Fashion Show.

TRAVEL AND VISA INFORMATION

Qatar is the most visa friendly country in the Region. Presently the State of Qatar provided visa free travel to more than 80 countries from around the world. Please see the link below to see the list of countries

Please review the travel restrictions due to Covid-19 pandemic and Qatar Travel guidelines.

If you are still need the visa, we can issue the tourist visa to you through the Hotel at an additional cost of USD 100 per person.  

Covid-19 pandemic is fast recovering all over the world. The Covid-19 situation is Qatar has recovered much better as compared to the world average. The Travel restriction in Qatar is getting eased in phase wise manner and we anticipate it to be much eased before the festival. DURING THE FESTIVAL DAYS IN QATAR

The maximum size of the space that will be provided per participants will be 1m width x 2 m height. Additional space can be booked by the participants at an extra cost. Please email to the organisers at qiaf.maps@gmail.com for additional space requirements. You should plan to exhibit the painting so that not more than 60% of the above space in filled.

The participants may make a sale arrangement of their artwork with the prospective buyer.  It will be a direct deal between the artist and the buyer. The sale proceeds need to be directly collected by the artist. Organisers may help you with their advice, if requested.   

All art works created by the participants during live painting at the festival will be displayed for public viewing and then handed over to   the organisers. The organisers will at their sole discretion decide the best use of the same. However, it is the intention of the organisers to use the art works for some social cause and give back to the society as a contribution for some Nobel cause.

The Hotel will be a star hotel in the center of the Doha City. We will arrange all the transportation from Hotel to the festival site and return.

The check in and check out time for the Hotel is 14:00pm and 12:00 noon respectively. However subject to availability and policy of the Hotel, they may consider any special request for early check in or late check out. Please send a request to qiaf.maps@gmail.com if you need early check in or late check out and we will try our best to accommodate the same.

The Detailed Program with the daily time schedule will emailed to all the participants 7 days before the festival dates.
