Dima’s work invites viewers to explore a realm of unrestricted fantasy and personal reflection when engaging with his art. "I try to capture the feeling of a paused moment. As if someone hit pause on a strange but pleasant dream, from which it's a little sad to wake up. It's important to me that my paintings evoke a slight excitement, a smile, and simple pleasure. So that they are enjoyable and interesting to look at, and to search for amusing details. I want to give the viewer a visual impulse and the freedom to decide for themselves what is happening in the painting"
