Artist profile
Art, to me, is a way of giving emotions a form when words are not enough. I am drawn to creating work that is meaningful yet open to interpretation, allowing each viewer to discover something different within it. I want my art to make people pause, reflect and perhaps recognise a part of themselves in something I have created. Artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gerhard Richter and Cy Twombly have influenced my willingness to experiment with abstraction, texture and expressive forms. My work often explores identity, human connection and the contrast between chaos and order. A concept that particularly inspires me is sonder: the realisation that every person carries an entire world of memories, emotions and experiences. This fascination drives much of my creative expression. I do not simply want to create something visually appealing; I want to create something that stays with people, even after they have looked away.
