Sylvia Acuña

Artist profile

My name is Sylvia Acuña Parafiniuk. I am a self-taught Uruguayan artist who has explored a wide range of mediums, including oil, acrylics, pastel, pencil, watercolor, and mixed media. My work is consistently guided by an expressive sensibility that blends the raw power of Expressionism with the serene calm of nature. Over the years, I have participated in courses and workshops led by both Uruguayan and international artists. These diverse insights have allowed me to build a distinct, personal style designed to connect deeply with those who view my work. My art has been featured in both group and solo exhibitions in Montevideo, Punta del Este, Buenos Aires, Paris, Barcelona, and Qatar. Additionally, several of my pieces are now part of private collections across the Americas and Europe."
