Artist profile

I am a Mexican visual artist inspired by the beauty of slowing down and truly observing the world around us. Through painting, I seek to capture fleeting moments and reinterpret cultural symbols, inviting viewers to pause, look closely, and connect with what they see. My work has been featured in national exhibitions, public art projects, and visual arts competitions. Beyond my own practice, I also teach art to children and teenagers, an experience that has reinforced my belief in creativity as a powerful tool for self-expression. For Culture Reimagined, I created a realistic portrait of a Catrina, reimagining one of Mexico's most iconic cultural symbols through my own artistic perspective. To me, painting is a way of holding onto moments that would otherwise disappear. In a world that rarely slows down, I hope my work encourages people to pause, look closer, and rediscover the quiet beauty that surrounds them.
